Academics

All academic matters of GBUC are placed under the authority of the Academic Board chaired by the President.  The Board’s decisions are coordinated by the office of the Assistant Registrar (Academic Affairs) and handed down through the Deans of various Schools and their Heads of Departments.  Currently the two schools that make up the academic division are the School of Theology and Ministry and the School of Business Administration.

The mission of the Academic Board is to ensure that students receive the best of tuition in their preferred areas of learning that adequately prepares them to be able to not only compete well in the job market after graduation; but to also model successful and moral lives wherever they find themselves.

To this end, the Academic Board is dedicated to creating always on campus an enabling and conducive environment for teaching and learning through nurture and supportive engagement that enables students to achieve excellence in their pursuit of knowledge.

The specific tasks of the Board include:

(1)          Recruiting, motivating and retaining competent and committed faculty at all times

(2)          Ensuring conducive environment for teaching, learning and research

(3)          Providing opportunities that extends teaching and learning beyond the local and reaches worldwide

(4)          Promoting quality assurance for teaching and learning continually.

The Board’s activities aim generally at meeting standards set at the highest international level possible by the National Accreditation Board and expectations of our affiliate and mentor University (UCC) are met at all times.
