Prof. Godwin Awabil is a Full Professor of Guidance and Counselling with extensive experience in teaching, research, and professional counselling services. He holds a PhD in Guidance and Counselling from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and an M.Phil. in the same field from the University of Cape Coast. Academic training also includes a Bachelor of Education in Psychology and a Diploma in Religious Studies. Additionally certified in Monitoring and Evaluation by the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
Has been serving as Professor at the Counselling Centre, University of Cape Coast since 2018, providing counselling services to students and staff, teaching and conducting research in Guidance and Counselling, and supervising postgraduate theses and teaching practice. Actively involved in academic quality assurance through service as an Internal Assessor for M.Phil. theses and an External Assessor for PhD theses. Until his appointment as President of the Ghana Baptist University College, Prof. Awabil was the Dean of the Faculty of Educational Foundations at the University of Cape Coast.
